It is celebrated on May 14, having its origin in the cattle markets that began to develop in this Capital of the New Populations, coinciding with the passing of the transhumant people who gathered and concentrated in the old ejido of the city, summoning dealers of all types of cattle, cattle, sheep, horses, cattle and goats. As it is an important point on the transhumance route and a strategically interesting place for the purchase and sale of draft animals for the mines, it gradually acquired the character of a livestock fair, attracting other types of offers related to the agricultural sector, as well as leisure and entertainment. The cattle enclosure that houses the Contest and Morphological Exhibition of Cattle, is accompanied by the traditional booths of pinchos, the pots, the hustle and bustle and the color throughout the Paseo Molino de Viento and the fairgrounds.
