Windmill Promenade

In the 1794 map of La Carolina, the landscaped beginning of the space now occupied by the Spain Square and the beginning of the promenade can already be seen. Following the lines of the dividing lines of the orchard plots, this was the southern entrance to the town through which the (Royal Road) from Madrid to Andalusia ran, which was adorned with a boulevard.

It took its name because a flour mill was installed in the adjoining orchard in colonial times, but due to its poor workmanship and low yield, it was soon abandoned.
